Tanah Lot Tour mostly explores the Tabanan Regency area, which is popular with Rice Terraces and is a major agricultural source in Bali province. Rice, Vegetables, and other agricultural products are also produced in Tabanan Regency.
In addition to agriculture, the government is developing the tourism sector to increase the local people’s income. They mostly focus on promoting agriculture and nature to tourists visiting their village. Now, this region is one of the most popular tourist destinations. UNESCO has also designated the Jatiluwih Rice Terrace a UNESCO heritage site.
Pick Up at your Hotel Stay
Let’s start the tour. About 10 minutes before 9 a.m., our driver will be standing by at your hotel and ready to take you on the Tanah Lot Tour. As we informed you previously, this tour will mostly explore Tabanan Regency.
If you stay in Ubud Central, driving to Taman Ayun Temple takes about one hour, and Taman Ayun will be your first stop in this Tanah Lot Tour program.
Visiting Taman Ayun Temple
Taman Ayun Temple is one of the popular temples in Bali. This temple used to be a Royal Temple. Now, it has become a tourist destination. The architect of this temple is so beautiful and shows you the authentic Balinese Building.
This temple is also having a beautiful garden and canal that make this temple different from other temples in Bali. A long time ago, this canal was the place where people in the area got water (especially during the dry season) where farming needed water to grow their paddies.
What to do
Besides taking photos and enjoying the story of the temple from our tour guide, you can also come to the small theater inside the complex, where you can get the story about this temple.
We recommend you visit this small theatre to learn more about the story of Taman Ayun Temple. After Enjoying the small theatre, you can also visit some of the buildings inside the temple.
There are two buildings that you can enjoy. These two buildings have a collection of paintings. The paintings here will tell you about the Balinese Story and Culture.
Also, there is a building that gives you information about the layout of the temple’s complex. This beautiful miniature is also near the painting building.
Chocolate Tour
If we still have enough time (before visiting Jatiluwih Rice Terraces), we will take you to the Chocolate Plantation owned by local people. This chocolate plantation is managed by locals. A chocolate tour will give you information about chocolate knowledge and how this small business has a positive impact on the local economy in villages on the island. Visiting Chocolate will be optional, and we will visit if your slot time is available.
Jatiluwih Rice Terraces
Visiting Jatiluwih Rice Terraces is one of the important parts of this tour; this area is part of the UNESCO heritage that is really important not only for people in Bali but also for the world.
Jatiluwih Rice Terraces is one of the stunning views of rice terraces in Bali (or maybe in the world). In addition to the beautiful view of the rice terraces, their irrigation system is unique and has existed until today. This system is called the SUBAK system. Our tour guide will tell you more about this traditional system that they have preserved until today.
What to Do at Jatiluwih Rice Terrace
When you visit this rice terrace, you can do trekking. Trekking among the rice terraces will give you a good feeling and have a positive impact on your mind.
For the trekking, they provide three different treks, so you can choose; if you need to save your energy for the rest of the day, you can choose the shortest trek so that you still have so much energy to continue your tour but if you have good stamina, you can choice the long trek.
Lunch with view rice terraces
After Trekking and exploring the beauty of Jatiluwih Rice Terraces, we will take you to a restaurant near the rice terrace, where we will stop for lunch. The lunch menu will be local food, and the rice that you eat will be taken from the Jatiluwih Rice Terraces that local people grow on the site. For lunch, we estimate about one hour before we leave and continue to the next destination.
Tanah Lot Temple
After Lunch, our next stop is Tanah Lot Temple, which will be the last stop of this trip. Tanah Lot Temple is popular for its Sunset. It has been popular for a long time, and everyone who wants to visit Bali will always get a recommendation to visit this site.
While waiting for the sunset, you can visit a local store and a local food vendor to experience local food. Along the road, you will also find local people selling items that you may buy as souvenirs when you return to your home country.
After spending time and enjoying the beautiful sunset, we will take you back to your hotel, and the tour will finish. If you have some questions, feel free to contact us directly.
